50% of the rental fee is due upon signing of lease agreement. The balance of the rental fee is due PRIOR to the start of the event.
Alcoholic Beverages The leasing individual or organization must obtain liability insurance if serving alcoholic bever-ages. Two copies of the policy must be provided to Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall Association before the event and the Township and HERTHA shall be named as Additional Insured parties on the policy. (One source for obtaining event insurance is: www.privateeventinsurance.com or it can be a rider on an individual’s home owner insurance.)
The sale of alcoholic beverages at an event additionally requires a one day liquor license from the State of Michigan.

Usable area: approximately 2166 sq. feet, practical amount of theater seating is 200.
Capacities listed are approximate. If tables and chairs are rented, your vendor will be able to make an accurate recommendation for your event. There must be a five (5) foot wide center aisle with theatre style seating. There must be at least a three (3) foot aisle at all of the walls.

Note: Certain civic organizations sponsoring events that benefit the community use the Hall at no charge except for costs such as utilities (electricity and water), cleaning services, trash removal and snow removal. Documented in-kind contributions are welcome to defray these costs. These civic organizations include the Elk Rapids Township Board, Elk Rapids Fire Department (holiday party), Garden Club (Hanging of the Greens), and the WIC Program.
